Job summary

Abbeyfield Living Society is seeking a General Assistant on a bank agreement at Holloway House in Quorn. You will assist with housekeeping, meal preparation, and welcoming visitors, ensuring residents enjoy a tidy and comfortable environment.

No prior experience is required as full training is provided. The role includes flexible hours, with pay aligned to casual staff, and mandatory training to start. Eligibility to work in the UK and Enhanced DBS checks apply.

• Full training provided to new entrants.

Responsibilities

• You’ll help keep the Home clean and tidy for residents and welcome visitors.
• Assist with meal preparation and support Kitchen staff to present meals to a high standard.
• Work within cleaning and housekeeping schedules as set by the Home Manager or Housekeeper.
• Clean residents’ bedrooms, self-contained flats, the communal areas and offices as required.
• Follow hygienic practices to keep kitchen and store areas clean and safe.
