Job summary

Marton Care Homes in Lancaster is seeking a dedicated Domestic/Laundry Assistant to help keep bedrooms, bathrooms, and shared spaces clean and welcoming for older residents. You will support laundry duties, follow hygiene and safety procedures, and work around a part-time pattern (22 hours per week) including occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, laundry or care is beneficial but not required.
• Willing to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Full training provided on site.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, and wash laundry items; operate machines safely.
• Clean designated areas including bedrooms and communal spaces.
• Vacuum, dust, mop floors and sanitise surfaces.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Report faults or maintenance needs promptly.
