Job summary

Prime Life at Seacroft Court in Skegness is seeking a Laundry Assistant to support residents with dignity and care. You will handle personal clothing and household laundry to high standards, follow infection control procedures, and maintain a clean, organized laundry area.

Training is provided and DBS is fully funded to support your role within the care home environment. This role emphasizes patience, respect for residents’ abilities, and a commitment to quality of service in a seaside community

Qualifications

Must have genuine caring nature and desire to make a real difference for residents.
Full training provided for the role.
Dementia understanding would be beneficial for residents.

Responsibilities

Process residents' personal clothing and household laundry to a high standard.
Ensure items requiring thermal disinfection are processed and infection control followed.
Iron/press all personal clothing and linen to a high standard.
Check garments and linen are in good repair and flag issues to the Hotel Services Manager/Care Home Manager.
Maintain all laundry areas, equipment and linen cupboards in a clean, tidy and hygienic condition and manage stock levels.
Remain professional and courteous with residents, colleagues, external professionals, families and visitors.
Follow health and safety procedures and report risks to the Manager.
Perform other reasonable duties as required by the Manager.
