Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a Housekeeper for Granville Lodge in the UK. The role focuses on maintaining high cleanliness standards across bedrooms, communal areas, and clinical spaces to support residents’ wellbeing and dignity.

You will follow infection prevention procedures, use PPE correctly, and assist with safe waste disposal. Training will be provided to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Basic education including English and Maths.
• COSHH, Infection Prevention and Control, or Health and Safety training desirable.
• Willingness to complete mandatory training and ongoing learning relevant to the role.
• Previous domestic, housekeeping, or cleaning experience desirable.
• Experience in healthcare or care home environments desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the service.
• Carry out daily cleaning duties according to schedules and policies.
• Complete deep cleaning tasks as directed by seniors.
• Ensure cleaning equipment and materials are stored safely after use.
• Follow COSHH regulations and safe handling of chemicals.
