Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a General Assistant for one of our care homes. You will help with housekeeping, cleaning, laundry and catering to create a warm, homely environment and support residents with empathy and a can-do attitude.

No two days are the same as you work across duties, develop relationships with residents and colleagues, and participate in training to grow your practical skills.

Qualifications

• Must be reliable, compassionate and caring.
• Able to adapt to a range of tasks with a positive attitude.
• Willing to participate in training and development.

Responsibilities

• Carry out housekeeping, cleaning, laundry and catering tasks across the home.
• Provide practical support to residents and contribute to a warm, homely environment.
• Support residents with daily activities in a respectful, empathetic manner.
• Work as part of a care team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
