Job summary

Midlothian Council is seeking two reliable domestics to join the Extra Care housing team at Bill Prentice Court. You will maintain high cleanliness standards in communal and staff areas, helping provide a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Hours are 2x12.5 per week (25 hours). This permanent post carries a salary at the first point of the scale; the minimum actual salary is £9,307.61 per annum.

Qualifications

• Basic reading is a requirement of the job to enable reading instructions on chemicals and laundry equipment.
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout communal and staff areas.
• Support residents, visitors and staff by creating a safe, welcoming environment.
• PVG scheme membership is required for Regulated Work with Protected Adults.
