Job summary

Wellbeing Care is seeking a reliable Domestic Cleaner to join our care home team in Lowestoft. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Key duties include cleaning resident rooms and communal areas, following schedules, using products safely and reporting maintenance needs. Full-time role with training and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience, preferably in a care home or healthcare setting.
• Good understanding of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean residents’ rooms, communal areas, corridors, lounges and dining areas.
• Disinfect bathrooms and facilities to a high standard.
• Follow cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
• Dispose of waste safely and appropriately.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Respect residents’ privacy and personal belongings.
• Work with care and housekeeping staff to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Follow health and safety policies and complete cleaning records.
