Job summary

Herewards House in Maidenhead is seeking a dedicated Care Home Chef to plan, prepare and deliver high-quality meals for up to 25 residents. You will ensure nutritional requirements are met, accommodate dietary needs, and work with the care team to deliver enjoyable mealtimes.

Responsibilities include managing stock, keeping rigorous hygiene standards, and completing daily admin like temperature checks and SFBB compliance. Training and audits are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Plan, prepare and cook a variety of high-quality, home-cooked meals.
• Meet nutritional and dietary requirements for residents (allergies, textures, low fat, etc.).
• Collaborate with care staff to tailor menus and meal times.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver meals for up to 25 residents in a residential care home.
• Ensure meals meet nutritional and dietary needs and are served safely.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and comply with SFBB, HSE and H&S requirements.
• Keep inventory, prepare weekly grocery lists, and manage stock levels.
• Monitor fridge/freezer temps, cleaning schedules, and food temperatures.
