Job summary

The Lakes Care Centre is seeking an experienced Chef to lead kitchen operations in South Cerney, Cirencester. You will design menus, supervise a small team, and ensure nutritious, hygienic meals for residents with a focus on fresh seasonal ingredients.

This role offers autonomy over menu development, weekend work, and a competitive hourly pay rate of £15.26 with NVQ and weekend enhancements. Bank hours and daytime shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a professional kitchen with meals for large numbers and knowledge of menu planning for specialist diets.
• Possession or pursuit of Level 3 Diploma in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership is desirable but not essential.
• Strong leadership and budget management skills are needed to run a small kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all kitchen and catering services and manage a small team.
• Ensure highest standards of nutrition, hygiene and safety at all times.
• Occasionally cater for meals for other day centres and community activities; some weekend work may be required.
