Job Title: Care Home Administrator

Salary: £14 p / h

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (Mon - Fri - Approx. 10.00am - 2.30pm)

Day to Day Responsibilities for Care Home Administrator

Onboarding & Induction

  • Coordinate and deliver engaging induction experiences tailored to each role and service.
  • Ensure compliance, training, and documentation requirements are completed efficiently.
  • Act as the main point of contact for new starters throughout their first 90 days

Culture & Engagement

  • Be a visible and approachable presence within homes and the Support Hub to build relationships with team members.
  • Promote and embed organisational values into everyday practice.
  • Gather and act on feedback from new starters to improve the onboarding journey

Absence Management

  • Assist manager with absence management processes, including return-to-work conversations and tracking absence data.
  • Provide supportive check-ins with team members where appropriate, helping to balance wellbeing with attendance expectations.
  • Escalate concerns where patterns or risks are identified.

Retention & Development

  • Carry out regular check-ins with team members during their first year to support engagement and performance.
  • Highlight early signs of disengagement and work with managers to resolve issues.
  • Support the delivery of people initiatives to improve retention and wellbeing.

One to Ones

  • Ensure one to one are held regularly, clearly documented and retained

People / Administrative Support

  • Provide adhoc administrative support to the homes as required
Essential Requirements for Care Home Administrator
  • 2 years' experience in an administrative role
  • Confident in supporting sensitive conversations, including absence and wellbeing
  • Live within 20 minutes of the care home
Preferred Requirements for Care Home Administrator
  • 2 years' administration experience in any kind of care home
  • Some experience of HR processes including inductions, onboarding and absence management
