About Our Home:

St. Katharine’s offers first-class care for residents with 89 beds. Conveniently located near Wantage Shopping Centre, which is regularly used for shopping trips by our residents, the home benefits from access to many local attractions. What you will be doing!
  1. General reception duties, taking calls, transferring to departments, greeting visitors
  2. Handling correspondence, telephone enquiries, reception duties, preparation of timesheets, submission of payroll summaries, record keeping, and taking minutes of meetings
  3. Providing accurate and efficient typing support from written and recorded material, utilising Microsoft Office to meet corporate standards, maintaining confidentiality at all times
  4. Supporting the Home Manager and Deputy Manager in delivering corporate/strategic objectives and administrative tasks, including diary management, and coordinating meetings
  5. Coordinating the duty rota and liaising with Bank and Agency staff as required
  6. Sorting and distributing mail throughout the Home
  7. Supporting the recruitment process for new employees, ensuring all paperwork and documentation are complete
  8. Keeping accurate records of residents’ documentation, including financial contracts, invoice requests, payments, pocket money cash records, and sundry invoices
  9. Providing financial invoicing and information to clients or next of kin, resolving queries, and following up on unpaid invoices
  10. Maintaining records of resident admissions, hospitalisations, and discharges for accurate invoicing
  11. Processing Social Services Assessment forms and liaising with Social Services’ Finance department; chasing late payments
  12. Providing monthly summaries of invoices issued and payments received to Head Office; supplying management information monthly
  13. Preparing and submitting data related to petty cash and wages totals monthly
  14. Matching supplier invoices/delivery notes, obtaining payment authorisation, and liaising with suppliers regarding queries
  15. Providing efficient telephone and reception services to the public, relatives, and visitors
  16. Attending training courses and sessions as required
  17. Maintaining client, staff, and business confidentiality at all times
  18. Preparing and maintaining stationery orders, stock, and records
  19. Answering the telephone, recording messages accurately, responding to problems and queries, and dealing appropriately with visitors
  20. Ensuring all customer interactions are met with a welcoming and professional manner
