Job summary

Shaftesbury Kenway Court in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a Maintenance Person/Driver. The role involves general maintenance, repairs, and safe transport for the people we support, with a focus on health and safety and regular safety reporting.

Qualifications

• General maintenance experience in a residential setting.
• Ability to operate and maintain basic facilities equipment.
• Awareness of health and safety within a care service.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance or repairs for assigned equipment/facilities.
• Regularly inspect, log and report items for specialist maintenance.
• Carry out minor repairs, painting, furniture building, lighting and gardening tasks.
• Assist with health and safety to ensure no hazards in place.
• Support safe transport of people and vehicle maintenance per Shaftesbury policies.
