Job Description

Home Instead is recruiting for Live In Carer's across East Fife.

Shift patterns = 2 weeks on 2 weeks off / 4 weeks on 4 weeks off.

We are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients to join our team in East Fife.As a Live in Care Care professional this includes you living at the client's home and being an integral part of your client’s life

Only Driver positions are currently available - Must have license and own car

What are the Responsibilities:

  • Live at the client's home- Have your own space at client's homewhich is where your personal space will beduring breaks and keep all personal belongings.
  • Companionship- ensuring a client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your visit
  • Help with everyday tasks such as; meal preparation and light housework
  • Accompanying to appointments or shopping
  • Personal Care - Supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing and grooming to keep them healthy and independent.
  • Medication support - Support clients with prompting medication.
  • Build a relationship with the client/ client family.
  • 10 hour a day, You will receive a daily 2 hour break, out with this you must be available to support your client whenever necessary.

Qualifications

You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a Care Assistantas full training is given. However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience.

You will have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service. You will be reliable, trustworthy and respectful. Also a sense of humour certainly helps.
