Job summary

Essex Cares Limited is hiring a Care Assistant to support people at home in South Essex. You will help clients regain independence, learn daily living tasks, and support mobility and meal preparation. Training is provided and you’ll be supported by a mentor during your induction.

Travel is required around Rayleigh, Rochford, Canvey and surrounding areas. Full driving licence with business insurance is essential, and 55p per mile is paid tax-free along with time spent travelling between visits.

Mileage: 55p per mile

Contract: 30 hour contracts available, all contracts include working every other weekend

Shifts: 7.00am-3.00pm & 3.00pm-11.00pm

Full driving licence and own vehicle is essential.
Travel required– You will be required to travel around South Essex, predominantly Rayleigh, Rochford, Canvey and surrounding areas.

About You

As a Care Assistant in reablement, you’ll be playing a key role in helping our customers regain their independence and continue living in their own home. This could include helping clients to relearn skills in their lives, such as personal care, mobility and preparing meals. You don’t need to have any previous experience as we will provide you with all the training you need.

Once you are trained, you will be assigned a mentor who will take you out to meet some of our customers and work alongside you until you are confident in the role. After your induction training, with guaranteed contracted hours, we will support you to progress within the company, paying for ongoing specialist training, nationally recognised qualifications and well-being support.

As this is a Care Assistant role in the community, we will need you to have access to a car and a full driving licence with business insurance. With rising petrol costs, we offer the government maximum tax-free mileage allowance of 55p per mile as well as paying your time travelling between customers.
