Care Assistant (Nights) – The Oaks Care Home

Shift Hours: 8pm - 8am with alternate weekend working

Work Schedule: 4 shifts per week (44 hours total)

Pay Rate: £12.77 per hour

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional nighttime care? Join us at The Oaks Care Home, part of the Sandstone Care Group. Situated in Newtown, Powys, this luxurious 73-bed, purpose-built nursing and residential home opened in January 2020 and offers state-of-the-art facilities. These include a coffee shop/bistro, hair & nail salon, activities room, landscaped gardens, and advanced care technology.

Your Role as a Care Assistant (Nights)

As a Care Assistant working nights, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our residents during the overnight hours. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Personalized Care: Supporting residents with nighttime routines, personal hygiene, mobility assistance, and ensuring they feel safe and secure.
  • Health Monitoring: Observing and responding to residents’ health needs, escalating concerns to senior staff as necessary.
  • Emotional Support: Providing companionship and reassurance to residents who may feel unsettled during the night.
  • Household Tasks: Assisting with light domestic duties such as tidying communal areas or preparing for the day ahead.
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with colleagues to ensure seamless care delivery throughout the night.
  • Training & Development: Actively participating in ongoing professional training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
