Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group invites applications for a Care Assistant - Nights at Aldridge Care Home, near Walsall. You will support residents with personal hygiene, dignity, and independence in a warm, respectful environment.

In this role you’ll spot early signs of illness, work safely, and follow care plans under the guidance of the team. A DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required; full-time hours, primarily night shifts, with training and career development opportunities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
• Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalating any identified risks in a timely manner.
• Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
• Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.

ABOUT YOU

• Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards the residents and other people in the home.
• Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
• Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
