Job summary

Beechgrove Care Home in Lanark is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support 70 residents with daily living and personal care. The role focuses on dignity, independence and wellbeing, following care plans and responding to changes in residents’ conditions.

You will work as part of a supportive team, delivering high-quality care in a warm, respectful environment. Full training and ongoing development are provided.

Qualifications

• A caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A reliable and positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
• SVQ/NVQ Level 2 desirable or willingness to work towards.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living including personal care, mobility, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.
• Follow care plans and recognise changes in condition to deliver safe, responsive care.
• Work as part of a supportive team to create a warm, positive environment where residents feel cared for.
