St Marys Chanterlands Lodge in Hull is seeking a friendly Care Assistant to deliver high-quality daily living support for residents. You’ll help with washing, dressing and mobility, support emotional well-being, and assist with social activities, under the guidance of senior staff.

Located in Hull, the home provides residential, dementia and respite care. We value kindness, empathy and teamwork, with ongoing training and development. Full-time, 38.5 hours per week, alternate weekends.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist Residents with daily living including washing, toileting, dressing.
• Support physical, emotional and spiritual needs while preserving dignity.
• Assist residents with limited mobility and use of aids.
• Monitor residents who are confused or have behavioural issues.
• Record daily care notes and follow policies.
• Support social activities and hobbies within the home.
• Respond to nurse calls and messages promptly.
• Report on residents' well-being to senior staff.
• Maintain clean rooms and equipment.
• Follow waste disposal policies.
