Are you a caring, energetic and most of all fun role‑model? My daughter is a dance and singing mad 14‑year‑old who thrives on social connection and genuinely sees the good in people. She is seeking a support worker for 4 hours per fortnight during term time weeks and 4 hours per week during school holidays to engage in all things teenage. Hours can be flexible and will be discussed during interview. She has Williams Syndrome, which means she has a natural ability to communicate, is exceptionally sociable, has an affinity for music, an amazing memory, unique social skills and a “cocktail party personality”. This can also mean she can be vulnerable, working hard to understand social dangers. She is a typical 14‑year‑old whose only wish in life is to have the opportunity to enjoy age‑related activities with someone who can safely engage her in this important part of life.

The role would be to provide emotional and social opportunities to help Bells achieve independent and fulfilling social experiences, whilst maintaining safety and modelling positive relationships. We would love someone who is interested in taking on this role long term and who is committed to spending the time to build up a relationship with Bells and support her to be the person she wants to be. If you feel you have what it takes to be the person who fulfills her needs we would love to hear from you.
