Job summary

Northcare Scotland is seeking compassionate Health Care Assistants to join our Edinburgh team at Winton Suites. This permanent bank position offers flexible day and night shifts with a rate of £13.75 per hour.

You will provide personal care, assist with washing, dressing, mobility, meals and hydration, and offer companionship while supporting residents’ independence and wellbeing. Full training is provided; prior care experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• Previous care experience preferred but not essential; full training provided.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care and support to residents.
• Assisting with washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
• Supporting residents with meals and hydration.
• Offering companionship and emotional support.
• Promoting residents’ independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
• Assisting residents with daily activities and social engagement.
• Working closely with senior carers and healthcare professionals.
• Maintaining accurate care records and reporting concerns appropriately.
