Job summary

St Philips Care Group in Jersey is seeking a Care Assistant for Highlands Care Centre. The role offers full-time hours with training from day one and the chance to progress within the business.

Qualifications

• Previous care work in a hospital, care home or nursing home is desirable.
• A passion for care of the elderly.
• NVQ2 / SVQ2 or QCF level 2 in Health and Social Care or Care.

Responsibilities

• Understand and provide the requirements for normal health and the impact on the client and family when ongoing care is needed.
• Assist the client in daily care tasks they would normally perform if able.
• Participate in holistic caring activities.
• Care for all clients’ needs to optimise independence and read care plans for continuity of care.
• Attend in-service training and mandatory training as part of staff development.
