A leading care provider in the UK is looking for a part-time Care Assistant to provide personal care and companionship for elderly clients. This role requires working evenings and weekends, and no specific qualifications are necessary as full training will be provided. We are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients to join our team in East Fife. As a Care professional, you will provide a variety of Care and Companionship to help keep clients independent in their own home.

We cover the following areas: Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy, Markinch, Leven, Largo, St Andrews, Cupar, East Neuk.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Minimum 1 hour visits.
• Introductions to all new clients.
• Visiting the same clients for continuity of care and to allow you to build a meaningful relationship.
• Companionship – ensuring a client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction during your visits.
• Help with everyday tasks such as meal preparation and light housework.
• Accompanying to appointments or shopping.
• Personal care – supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing and grooming to keep them healthy and independent.

You do not need any experience or particular qualifications to become a Care Assistant as full training is given. However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience.

You will have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service. You will be reliable, trustworthy and respectful. Also a sense of humour certainly helps.

You will enjoy building professional friendships and be comfortable in spending time in the company of others.

You will receive full, ongoing support as well as access to award winning training. Social events with your colleagues.
