Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking a Care Assistant for evening shifts in Southend on Sea. The role focuses on providing compassionate in-home care, supporting people to live independently and safely, with comprehensive training provided.

A driving licence and reliable transport are preferred, but full training is given to new entrants committed to helping others. You will work in a supportive, purpose-driven environment with opportunities for career growth, salary of £15.90 per hour, and flexible shift

Responsibilities

• Provide warm companionship to customers in their own homes.
• Support with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with mobility needs to keep customers safe and confident.
• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands, e.g., shopping and picking up prescriptions.
• Offer calm, considerate support that makes customers feel cared for.
