Job summary

National Care Group Limited is recruiting for a Care Assistant to join Essential Care and Support Limited - Abbeyvale Care Centre in Hartlepool. You will work with young adults with complex needs, supporting daily living, personal care and planned activities in a warm, person-centred residential setting.

Qualifications

• A caring attitude and motivation to help others.
• Team player and able to work with colleagues.
• Resilience to handle challenging situations and seek support when needed.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing, and planning goals and ambitions together.
• Help plan daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning and running errands.
• Assist with personal care, which may include support with eating and administering medication.
• Help plan and participate in any days out the individuals wish to enjoy.
• Make a positive impact on someone's life by supporting them to become more independent wherever possible.
