Job summary

Manorcourt Homecare is seeking a caring domiciliary care assistant to support clients in their own homes across Norwich and surrounding towns. You will deliver high-quality, person-centred care, promote wellbeing and independence, and work with a supportive local team.

Role includes personal care, medications assistance, meal prep, companionship, and light domestic tasks. Full training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

  • In this domiciliary care role, caring, compassionate and patient demeanor is essential.
  • Excellent communication and ability to work independently are required.
  • Access to own transport is an advantage but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with personal care (hygiene, dressing, etc.).
  • Assist with medication administration alongside care plans.
  • Help with meal preparation and light domestic tasks.
  • Provide companionship and social interaction.
  • Build relationships with clients, families and branch teams.

Care Assistant

Norwich, Swaffham, Dereham, Fakenham, North Walsham, Cromer, Mundesley

£13.00 - £13.50 per hour

35 hours a week contracted hours available

Working hours are 7am - 2pm and2pm - 10pm and working every other weekend

In this role, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals in their own homes, helping them to maintain their health, wellbeing, and independence.

What would a typical day look like?

Whilst no day will be the same in this incredibly rewarding role, responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting individuals with personal care (hygiene, washing, dressing, etc.)
  • Supporting with the administering of medication
  • Assisting with meal preparation
  • Providing companionship and offering social interaction
  • Carrying out light domestic tasks and occasional food shopping.

You will build meaningful relationships with the individuals you support, your fellow carers and your branch support teams; promoting our company values, which are at the heart of everything we do.

Due to the nature of this role, good communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential. Access to your own transport is an advantage but not essential.
