Job summary

Abbeywood Care Home is seeking three Care Assistants to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents. Positions include 36, 26.75, and 30 hours per week across day and night shifts, with varied schedules to cover early, late, and night hours.

Qualifications

• Care experience is desirable but not essential.
• Level 2 qualification in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential.
• Kind, patient, respectful and empathetic with a genuine passion for supporting others.
• Communicates well, works effectively in a team, and is committed to high standards of care.
• Can work independently and as part of a team.
• Is comfortable with personal care tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centred care and support.
• Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting.
• Support residents with mobility and mealtimes.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and conversation.
• Maintain accurate care records and report concerns to senior staff.
• Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing always.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and families to ensure the best outcomes.
