Job summary

Choice Care in Burnley is seeking a Care Assistant (Driver) to support clients at home across Burnley & Darwen and surrounding areas. The role offers full-time or part-time hours with training provided if you have no prior care experience and a Driver’s license is required.

The starting hourly rate is £12.75 for new entrants, rising to £13.10 with experience and to £13.50 after completing Level 2/3 NVQ qualifications; weekend work is required.

Care Assistant (Driver) Burnley

At Choice Care, we provide the best possible care and support for those that need it - including people coming to the end of life, those with dementia, sensory impairment, or physical difficulties – enabling our clients to live their own homes with dignity and enjoy the best possible quality of life.

We are looking for carers to work within Burnley & Darwen and all in between the M65 corridor, we have Full and Part time positions available. Having care experience would be an advantage, but if you don’t have any experience, training will be provided.

We are a Preferred Provider for BWD Social Services and Lancashire county council we also provide care for the ICB as well as private clients. We are a family business and have been providing care in the area for 26 years.

If you have at least 6 months experience in care or hold an NVQ in Health & Social care your starting hourly rate will be £13.10.

With an hourly rate of £12.75 if you have no care experience, you will be trained first of all in our classroom by our in house nurse and management team, and then be mentored one on one by one of our experienced qualified carers.

At that point you start your Level 2 or 3 NVQ qualification and when you achieve that your pay to £13.50

You need to be able to work alternate weekends.
