Job summary

Croft House Care Home in Great Dunmow is seeking a part-time Care Assistant (Bank) to support residents with personal care and companionship. You’ll help with nutrition, daily activities and maintain care plans under supervision.

The role offers flexible hours, competitive hourly pay (£12.75–£13.75 depending on experience), and the opportunity to join a values-led team focused on compassionate, person-centred care at Croft House. Experience in care settings is preferred.

• Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
• Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory & legal requirements.

Croft House is an elegant and spacious home situated within a leafy suburb close to Stansted Airport. The home is set in stunning, well-maintained gardens and is also situated within walking distance of the main high street of Great Dunmow, which is ideal for residents to get out and about.

Enjoying food is an important part of life. The chefs create well-crafted menus made with the freshest ingredients and they try to cater for all ethnicity groups. Soon after a resident arrives at Croft House, staff discuss their personal preferences and dietary needs with them.
