Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant for Alice Court Care Home in Eastbourne. You will deliver high-quality personal care as part of a supportive team, helping residents maintain dignity and independence.

No prior experience is required as a thorough induction and training programme is provided to build confidence in your role. A DBS check is required and funded by Avery.

Qualifications

  • Adaptable and able to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high standards of personal care and support residents.
  • Assist with personal hygiene ensuring independence, dignity, and respect.
  • Recognise clinical risks (weight loss, pressure sores, falls, infections) and escalate appropriately.
  • Work within a care team to ensure continuity of services.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.

Other responsibilities will include:

Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.

  • Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and elevate any identified risks in a timely manner.
  • Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
  • Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.
