Job summary

Bupa's Shockerwick House Care Home in Bath is recruiting a Care Assistant on a bank basis. You will support residents with personal care, companionship, and daily activities, while documenting care plans and reporting changes to the team.

We offer flexible shifts, full induction paid, DBS check and uniforms provided, and access to staff discounts. A prior health and social care qualification is desirable, but no essential experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
• Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure to document and report any changes in accordance with the required legislation.
• Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
• Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory & legal requirements.

What we're looking for:

• Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.
