Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others? We're seeking compassionate and experienced Care Assistants to join our Care at Home Service. As a Care Assistant, you'll provide crucial support to service users, enabling them to maintain independence and stay in their own homes. Your responsibilities include delivering personal care and domestic duties, administering medication, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining communication with management.

Qualifications-
  • SVQ 2 or Nurse Aide Level 2 qualification is desirable but be willing to work towards the qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 months experience in social care.
  • Valid full driving license is required to execute the duties of the role.
  • Genuine interest in caring for people
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to varying situations
  • Knowledge of Person Centered and Outcome Based Approaches to sustain healthy relationships with service users.
Responsibilities-

You will proactively deliver personalized domiciliary care to elderly service users, within the community.

  • You will follow procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook, adhere to care plans
  • Administer medication and meticulously record administration accurately.
  • You will provide comprehensive personal care, including assistance with hygiene maintenance, dressing, incontinence management, grooming and oral care.
  • As a care assistant, you will foster meaningful social interaction by engaging in activities for service users.
  • Additionally, you will collaborate closely with service users and their families to identify evolving needs, ensuring a person-centred approach to care delivery.
  • You will expertly prepare nutritious meals, encouraging healthy choices and tailor-blended diets when required.
  • You will maintain a hygienic environment by proficiently managing household chores like hoovering and dusting, prioritizing the safety and comfort of supported individuals.
  • You will diligently record and update health information, ensuring accuracy and consistency in records for informed decision-making.
  • You will actively participate in team meetings, staying abreast of current practices and changes in the social care sector to optimize support for the service users.
  • You will ensure safety equipment is checked, report any concerns, attend training sessions, and demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement.
