Care Assistant – Berkley Care

Location: Worcester | Salary: £14.13 per hour | Hours: 42 hours per week (8 am–8 pm)

About the Position

We are looking for a caring and motivated individual to work as a Care Assistant at Berkley Care, a luxury care home provider committed to excellence and employee wellbeing.

Responsibilities
  • Promote a caring and friendly environment, placing person‑centred care at the heart of everything you do and empowering residents to fully participate in decisions relating to them.
  • Administer prescribed medicines and maintain associated records and care plans.
  • Carry out basic domestic duties and prepare light meals and refreshments for those in your care.
  • Plan rotas and supervise a team while on shift to oversee and maintain the care of residents.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, regular one‑to‑one sessions with team members and inductions.
  • Attend team meetings and act as a role model for the home team.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Years experience in a care assistant role (minimum).
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop and delegate to others and be part of a supportive team.
  • A kind, caring and compassionate nature with a sense of fun.
  • Strong communication skills with a wide range of people, including residents, the home team and family members.
