Job summary

Advantage Healthcare Limited in Milton Keynes is seeking a compassionate care assistant to support a gentleman living with locked-in syndrome and type 2 diabetes. You will provide companionship, personal care and help with daily household tasks in a caring, respectful environment.

Full nurse-led training and ongoing clinical support are provided. A driving licence with access to a car is required due to the geographical location, and sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• No prior care experience required; catheter care, bowel management and medication administration are advantageous.
• Nurse-led training and ongoing clinical support to develop skills.
• Driver with access to a car required.

Job Description

What you’ll do

You will support a gentleman living with locked-in syndrome and type 2 diabetes by providing companionship, personal care and assistance with daily household tasks. He is a passionate Tottenham football fan and enjoys watching sports, TV and films. He values spending time with his visiting family, listening to the radio and taking walks around the local area.

Your role will involve helping him maintain a comfortable, engaging and supportive environment.

Qualifications

What you’ll need

• Previous experience is not required; however, experience with catheter care, bowel management, and medication administration is advantageous.
• You’ll receive full nurse led training and ongoing clinical support to develop skills in various areas.
• The successful candidate with be a driver with access to a car.
