The Priory Learning Trust is looking to recruit a Healthcare Worker to work at Priory Community School - An Academy. This role maintains students with physical and learning needs within the school setting, ensuring a safe, healthy, and educationally valuable environment.
The role involves working closely with parents, school staff, and external health professionals to implement and monitor individual Health Care Plans (HCPs).
Provide essential one-to-one care to pupils as detailed in their Health Care Plan, including administering medication (where authorised) and attending to personal needs.
Monitor and update Health Care Plans, and attend multi-agency reviews and meetings to coordinate care.
Administer first aid in the event of illness or injury, prioritizing and triaging cases based on urgency.
Participate in all relevant training and undergo regular assessment to meet the changing and specific care needs of pupils.
A qualification in Literacy and Numeracy equivalent to GCSE Grade C / Level 4 or above.
A First Aid Qualification or a clear willingness to work towards obtaining one.
Some experience of working with children with physical needs and the ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
Knowledge of Child Protection and Safeguarding procedures, along with strong emotional resilience for dealing with challenging and emotive situations.

This role involves working with children on a daily basis and is therefore in regulated activity.
