Job responsibilities
  • Deliver high standards of personal care and contribute fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.
  • Assist residents with personal hygiene, ensuring independence, dignity and respect at all times.
  • Recognise and understand clinical risk areas (e.g., weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, signs of infection) and escalate identified risks in a timely manner.
  • Act courteously towards residents and visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
  • Practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks.
About You
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and other people in the home.
  • Be an efficient worker who can carry out reasonable instructions from other team members.
  • Be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
Requirements
  • This role requires either a DBS disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare, or confirmation of equivalent clearances as applicable.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
