Job summary

Abicare is seeking Community Healthcare Assistants to join the team in Royal Wootton Bassett and surrounding areas. You will provide high-quality domiciliary and home care support to clients in their own homes, covering personal care, medication support, companionship and daily living tasks.

The role offers flexible shifts (full-time/part-time, mornings, evenings, weekends), with paid travel time between care calls and a 35p per mile contribution.

Full & Part Time – Abicare Homecare

£14.24 per hour + PAID travel time between care calls

With Abicare, your travel time between clients is paid. This means you are not only paid for the time you spend providing care in a client’s home – you are also paid for your working time travelling between care visits.

Plus 35p per mile for drivers.

Experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Carer, Community Carer, Domiciliary Care Worker or Support Practitioner is welcome but not essential.

We are looking for Community Healthcare Assistants in Royal Wootton Bassett and the surrounding areas, including Purton, Blunsdon, Wroughton, Broad Town, Highworth and nearby areas of Swindon.

About The Role

As a Community Healthcare Assistant, you will provide high-quality domiciliary care and home care support to clients within their own homes.

Your role may include:

• Personal care
• Medication support
• Companionship
• Meal preparation
• Dementia support
• Assisting with daily living
• Promoting independence and well-being
• Travelling between clients in the community

This is a community-based role where no two days are the same.

Working Hours

Flexible shifts available:

• Full-time
• Part-time
• Morning shifts
• Evening shifts
• Weekend availability

Typical care calls may begin from around 7 am.

We will work with your availability where possible, but flexibility is essential for this role.
