Job summary

Abacare is looking for caring and reliable Care Assistants to support clients in their own homes across Rhosneigr and surrounding areas. You will follow care plans and help with personal care, meals and daily living tasks, contributing to safer, supported lives.

No prior social care experience is required; you will be supported to learn and grow in a close-knit team while working shifts that include evenings and some weekends.

Qualifications

• You don’t need any social care experience to apply.
• You’ll be resilient and willing to learn new skills as part of a close-knit team.
• You must be able to work shifts including evenings and every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Support clients to live safely at home by following individual care plans.
• Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, and incontinence management.
• Support clients with medications where required and practical tasks like shopping.
• Help with meals, housekeeping and daily living activities.

Company Description

Location: Rhosneigr, Bodorgan, Bodedern, Gwalchmai, Llangefni LL65 & LL64, Holyhead and Valley LL65

Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour

Travel time and mileage paid

Shifts available: You will be required to work shifts between the hours of 7am and 11pm, this will include working 2 evenings a week and every other weekend.

Access to vehicle required due to geographical location of role

What You’ll Do

Our care assistants are the extraordinary people who do the everyday things that mean so much to our clients. Supporting them to live safer and supported lives in their own homes, you’ll follow individual care plans and assist with personal care, helping clients to bathe, dress, manage incontinence, use the toilet and supporting them with their medication. You’ll also help with practical tasks like shopping, mealtimes and housework.

What you’ll need

You don’t need any social care experience to apply for this role. We’re more interested in your compassion and ability to care. You’ll need to be resilient too and willing to learn new skills and develop your knowledge as part of a close-knit team.
