Job summary

Home Instead is seeking kind, friendly, and compassionate carers to support clients in their own homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity and quality of life. You will get to know clients, their humour, and interests while delivering high-quality person-centred care.

The role offers various contracts from zero hours to full-time, with mileage support and ongoing training. Applicants must be UK residents with a driving licence and access to a car; DBS checks required.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient, and committed to high-quality care.
• Good communication skills and ability to build trust with clients and families.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Willingness to travel between clients’ homes - driving licence with access to your own car needed for home visits, grocery shopping and taking clients out to appointments and fun outings.
• Happy to follow instructions, care plans, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Help clients to start their day, or settle for the evening, assisting with personal care routines and any medication prompts.
• Contribute to a homely environment by helping with light household chores and breakfast or supper preparation.
• Maintain transparent communication with clients and families and enjoy providing first-class care and comfort.
