Overview

Care Assistant (BAY00I8) at Bayford House Care Home, Rookwood Newbury, RG20 8LB.

Bayford House offers residential, respite, nursing, palliative and Parkinson’s care, with independent living suites for those in need of extra support or recovering from surgery. The home is set in large landscaped gardens with high standard accommodation and care. It provides a range of activities and supports residents with dietary preferences, social engagement, and mobility as part of personalised care packages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support residents with a wide range of requirements from companionship to personal care.
  • Observe and manage residents\' behaviour with care and document/report any changes in accordance with required legislation.
  • Support residents\' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
  • Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
  • Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory and legal requirements.

  • Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.
