City and County Healthcare Group in Merthyr Tydfil is seeking a caring Care Assistant to support clients to live safely at home. You’ll follow care plans, assist with personal care, meals, and daily tasks in clients’ own homes, with shifts that include weekends.

No previous social care experience is required; compassion and reliability matter most. Access to a vehicle is required due to the role’s geography. Benefits include travel time and mileage paid, plus discounts and leave entitlements.

Pay Rate: £13.45 weekdays and £13.55 weekends

Travel time and mileage paid

Shifts available: Various hours available, some weekend availability is required

Job Description

What you’ll do

Our care assistants are the extraordinary people who do the everyday things that mean so much to our clients. Supporting them to live safer and supported lives in their own homes, you’ll follow individual care plans and assist with personal care, helping clients to bathe, dress, manage incontinence, use the toilet and supporting them with their medication. You’ll also help with practical tasks like shopping, mealtimes and housework.
