Job summary

Helping Hands Homecare in Blackpool is seeking a Care Assistant to join the West 8 department in a flexible, customer-focused role. You’ll provide companionship, assist with daily tasks and support independence at home.

With no prior care experience required, we value kindness, reliability and a genuine desire to help others. We offer training, mileage reimbursement and a pathway to qualifications within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and access to vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, meaningful companionship to customers in their own homes.
• Support with personal care including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with mobility needs to help customers stay safe.
• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands from food shopping to collecting prescriptions.
• Offer calm, considerate support that helps customers feel truly cared for.
