We’re looking for an enthusiastic and committed Care Assistant for DAYS and NIGHTS to join our team. Working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will support the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of our residents, delivering personal care such as washing, dressing, hygiene and meals, as well as helping with daily activities in the home.

Responsibilities
  • Support the physical, emotional and social wellbeing of residents.
  • Provide personal care including washing, dressing, hygiene and meals.
  • Assist with daily activities and tailor support to each resident’s needs, ensuring individuality and dignity.
  • Offer compassionate end‑of‑life care when required.
  • Recognise signs of abuse, harm or neglect and act in accordance with safeguarding procedures.
  • Attend safeguarding training appropriate to your role and undertake additional training in associated areas.
  • Seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
  • Support digital care planning initiatives and assist residents with technology where required.
Qualifications
  • Experience or training in personal care and support for residents with dementia or other complex needs.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding protocols and a proven ability to recognise and report abuse or neglect.
  • Willingness to attend ongoing training and professional development.
  • Comfortable using technology and supportive of digital care planning.
  • Positive communication and compassion, with a commitment to maintaining residents’ individuality and dignity.
