Job summary

A leading care provider in Hemel Hempstead is looking for a Personal Care Assistant to provide compassionate care and support to clients in need. Qualifications

• A valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
• Aged 18+.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• No healthcare assistant experience required.
• Great communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
• Weekend availability (preferable).
• No healthcare assistant experience required – we’ll provide all the training you need

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities including dressing and bathing.
• Support clients with mobility and physical disabilities.
• Care for clients who are temporarily sick or terminally ill.
• Encourage clients' independence and promote mental activities.
• Communicate any significant changes in client circumstances.
• To make and change beds, light cleaning, emptying commodes and general tidying.
• To inspect, launder and mend clients’ clothes.
• To set tables and trays, prepare and serve light meals, clearing away and washing up.
• To read and write reports and be involved in clients’ reviews and training activities.
• To adhere to all Caremark’s policies and procedures at all times.
• To report either to the Field Care Supervisor or Care Manager any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a client.
• To encourage the independence of clients wherever possible.
• Carers must also be able to accompany clients to hospital appointments, shopping trips, and community activities.

Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team in providing essential care and support to individuals in need. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others through dedicated personal care services in Dacorum area (Hemel Hempstead, Tring, Berkhamsted).

Responsibilities

• To assist clients who need help getting up and going to bed in the morning and evenings, including dressing and undressing, washing, bathing and going to the toilet.
• To help clients with their mobility and with any physical disabilities, including incontinence and use of personal aids and equipment.
• To care for clients who are temporarily sick and need bed nursing and help with feeding etc.
• To provide care and support for clients who are terminally ill.
• To help in the promotion of mental and physical activities of clients through talking, outings, reading, writing, hobbies and recreations.
• To make and change beds, light cleaning, emptying commodes and general tidying.
