Job summary

City & County Healthcare Group is seeking a Children's Complex Care Assistant in Leigh to join our care team. You will receive full training and clinical support to develop skills in managing complex needs arising from Cerebral Palsy and a genetic disorder.

You’ll support personal care, mobility and communication while ensuring the client’s safety and well-being. The role requires an empathetic, patient-focused communicator with experience in complex care; ventilator and PEG management training

Qualifications

• Previous Complex care experience is required.
• Beneficial to have worked with children with challenging behaviours or learning disabilities.
• Ventilator management, Tracheostomy and PEG management is preferred; training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support a child with Cerebral Palsy including personal care, mobility and communication.
• Medication management and monitoring for the client.
• Provide reassurance and address concerns with empathy and clear communication.

Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour

Location: Leigh

Shifts Available: Days and Nights available,

7.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri

10.30am – 6pm Sun

8pm – 7.30am Mon-Sun Nights

What You’ll Do

This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Children's Complex Care Assistant. You will have full training and clinical support to develop and improve skills in various complex areas.

Our client has a genetic condition, learning disability and developmental delays, they need support due to Cerebral Palsy and their genetic disorder with personal care, mobility and communication. They enjoy cuddles, watching musical disney movies and going out on day trips. Our client uses a Ventilator via a Tracheostomy, has a PEG feed and need support, medication management and their mental wellbeing as can exhibit challenging behaviours at times. They need a strong empathetic communicator who can speak to them to address concerns and provide reassurance.

Qualifications

Previous Complex care experience is required.

It will be beneficial to have worked with children with challenging behaviours or learning disabilities.

Previous Ventilator management, Tracheostomy and PEG management is preferred. Whilst training can be provided for the right candidates.
