Job summary

Advantage Healthcare is seeking a dedicated care worker to support a child with cerebral palsy and global developmental delay in Fetcham. You will deliver tracheostomy and ventilated care, suctioning, and gastrostomy support per the care plan, with guidance from a registered nurse and regular supervision.

Full UK driver’s license and access to your own vehicle are required due to location. Full DBS checks, training and progression opportunities are provided by Advantage Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Experience in a complex care setting.
• Experience in tracheostomy & gastrostomy care.
• Experience looking after a ventilated child.
• Experience with suctioning.
• Experience with catheter care.
• Driver preferred due to location.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a special care team delivering care to a client with cerebral palsy and global developmental delay.
• Deliver care in line with the care plan, including tracheostomy management, ventilated child care, suctioning and gastrostomy care.
• Attend regular supervision and team meetings with support from the London branch.

Shifts:1 Night shift per week 9 pm - 7 am plus contingency cover

Driver required: Yes - full UK licence and access to your own vehicle

What you’ll do

Be a part of a special care team delivering care to our client who is a delightful child with cerebral palsy and global developmental delay, to support him to reach his full potential. We are looking for a kind and gentle candidate who determination and patience.

You will deliver care in line with the care plan which includes tracheostomy management, care of the ventilated child, daily suctioning and gastrostomy care.

You will be supported byAdvantage HealthcareLondon branch and invited to attend regular supervisions and team meetings. A registered nurse will ensure you are competent in our client’s care needs and support with any clinical concerns and queries you may have.

• Experience working in a complex care setting
• Experience in tracheostomy & gastrostomy care
• Experience of looking after a ventilated child
• Experience with suctioning
• Experienced incatheter care
• You will need to be a car driver due to the location
