Job summary

Helping Hands is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support clients in their own homes across the area. You’ll provide companionship and assist with daily activities to help people live well and stay independent, with full training provided and flexible shifts to fit your life.

No prior care experience is required; kindness and reliability are valued, and we offer funded training, mileage reimbursement, and career development opportunities.

• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm, meaningful companionship in clients' homes.
• Support personal care, including washing, bathing, and dressing.
• Assist with mobility to keep clients safe and independent.
• Help with household tasks and meal preparation.
• Run errands and manage basic shopping and prescriptions.
• Provide calm, respectful care that preserves dignity.

What you'll do

• Provide warm, meaningful companionship to customers in their own homes.
• Support with personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with mobility needs, helping customers stay safe and confident.
• Oversee and administer medication in line with care plans.
• Help with household tasks such as cleaning, cooking and meal preparation.
• Run essential errands, from food shopping to collecting prescriptions.
• Offer calm, considerate support that helps customers feel truly cared for.
