Job summary

McCarthy & Stone is seeking a Care and Support Assistant at Lancer House in Colchester. This part-time role offers 20 hours per week with pay of £13.79–£15.09 per hour, enhanced for evenings and weekends.

You will support residents with daily tasks, social activities and wellbeing in a single onsite location, helping older adults live independently and with dignity. Full training is provided, including funded Level 2 or 3 in Adult Care, with 28 days holiday pro-rata and a company pension.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in a UK health and social care role preferred.
• Level 2 QCF in Health and Social Care is a plus, but not essential.
• Caring, dependable and passionate about supporting older adults.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily domestic tasks and errands.
• Assist with social activities and wellbeing routines.
• Promote independence, dignity and community engagement.
• Support with personal care as part of individual care packages.

Who We’re Looking For:
