Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Care Assistant for Rivermere Care Home in Kent. You will deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to a supportive care team, ensuring continuity of services for residents.

No prior experience required as a thorough induction and training programme is provided to build confidence in the role. DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required constraints of the position.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Able to take initiative and show respect to residents and staff.
  • Capable of following reasonable instructions and working efficiently.
  • Flexible to cover a range of responsibilities on short notice.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal hygiene to promote independence, dignity and respect.
  • Identify and escalate clinical risks (weight loss, pressure sores, falls, infections) promptly.
  • Be courteous to residents and visitors, respecting dignity and individuality.
  • Follow safe systems of work across tasks.

We’re now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Care Assistant at Rivermere Care Home in Kent.

About The Role

Your focus as Care Assistant will be to deliver high standards of personal care, contributing fully to the care team to ensure continuity of services to residents.

Other Responsibilities Will Include
  • Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
  • Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and *escalate* any identified risks in a timely manner.
  • Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
  • Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.
