Job summary

The Human Support Group in Carmarthen is seeking a caring Care Assistant to visit clients in their homes. You will help with daily tasks, support independence, and provide companionship, aiming to improve quality of life for vulnerable adults in the community.

Training is provided, with mileage allowance and flexible rosters to suit your availability. The role offers a meaningful, community-based position within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Visiting vulnerable adults in their own homes in Carmarthen.
• Helping with washing, dressing and getting ready for the day.
• Preparing a hearty breakfast or lunch and prompting medication.

• Offer companionship and a listening ear during visits.
• Follow care plans and report changes to supervisors.

Job description

You will be the highlight of someone's day. As a Care Assistant, you'll be visiting vulnerable adults in the Carmarthen community in their own homes, helping them to maintain their independence and dignity. No two days are exactly the same, but your day might include:

• Helping someone get ready for the day with a bright 'good morning' (assisting with washing and dressing).
• Preparing a hearty breakfast or lunch.
• Prompting medication.
