Alcedo Care are looking for a caring Care Assistant to join our team in Carlisle and surrounding areas. You will support adults at home with daily living tasks, personal care, meal preparation and mobility.

No previous experience required as full training is provided. A full UK driving licence is preferred and DBS checks are conducted. We offer flexible hours, enhanced holiday rates, and pension contributions.

Join Alcedo Care Carisle as a Care Assistant working within the areas of Carlisle, including Stanwix, Harraby, Currock, Botcherby, and surrounding areas such as Brampton, Wigton and Penrith.

Excellent rates of pay £13.40 - £14.40 per hour + Pension + Holiday Pay (equivalent to 15.47 to £16.47 per hour including holiday pay & pension)

Expected average hours - 20 to 40 hours plus per week. Shifts are flexible where possible and we also have opportunities for short shifts or 12-hour shifts days or nights.

About The Role

Driving Requirement

This Role Requires The Post Holder To

• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Be medically fit to drive
• Be willing to undertake appropriate checks in line with company policy

As a people person, you will enjoy meeting and supporting a diverse range of people of all ages.

The Care Assistant role involves personal care including continence support, washing, dressing as well as supporting with medication, meal preparation and helping with household tasks. Just as importantly, you'll promote people's independence, whilst bringing a real sense of joy to those you support.

You do not need previous experience to join our team, as all training is provided to boost your skills and confidence.

Due to the nature of the role, including personal care, unsupervised work with vulnerable individuals and the need to work flexible hours including late evenings and weekends, applicants must be aged 18 or over. This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
